Hertford County, read close: the paycheck county

First, the naming rule this network enforces without exception: this is Hertford County — Ahoskie, Winton, Murfreesboro, up against the Virginia line. The town of Hertford is in Perquimans County, a different place two counties east. The confusion is common enough that the county's own brief leads with the disambiguation, and so does this guide.
