Sources and terms
This page lists every data source Horizon Real Estate Group uses, what we use it for, and the terms we use it under. It covers every page on every site we operate, not only the market pages. Some sources we use only to check our own numbers. We list those too, and we say so.

NAR 2025 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers
The Buyer Match page prints figures from the National Association of REALTORS® 2025 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers. The survey covers sales from July 2024 to June 2025 and received 6,103 responses from primary-residence buyers.
- Exhibit 7-1: 5% of homes sold were sold by owner, and 91% were agent-assisted.
- Exhibit 8-3: the median selling price was $360,000 for sellers who sold by owner and $425,000 for agent-assisted sellers. When the owner did not know the buyer, the median was $372,200.
- Exhibit 8-2: 3 of the 5 percentage points of owner-sold homes went to a buyer the owner knew.
- Chapter 8 highlights (page 107): 30% of owners who sold by owner gave selling to a relative, friend or neighbor as their reason.
These figures compare different groups of homes. They do not measure what an agent adds, and we do not present them as if they did.
Hive MLS broker statistics
The closed-sales figures on the Careers page come from Hive MLS through SourceRE. They count closed sales where Jeanni Old or Travis Old was the listing, co-listing, buyer or co-buyer agent. Each sale is counted once, even when one of them was on both sides. The broker-stats workflow refreshes the figures monthly.
Using these figures
You may quote figures from our pages with credit to Horizon Real Estate Group and a link to the page or edition you quote. Please name the period the figure covers. Please do not republish our full tables or copy our pages in bulk. The underlying MLS data belongs to Hive MLS and its participants. It is not ours to relicense.
Corrections
When a published figure was wrong, we correct it on the page and record the correction on that page. We do not change a past edition without saying so.
